Forever entrusted to our care

Blue Hill Cemetery

From the late 19th century and well into the 21st century, the sole purpose of our organization remains unwavering; to develop, nurture and maintain a place of permanent memorialization set in a pastoral sanctuary of reverence, remembrance, and repose.

A Pastoral Sanctuary of Reverence, Remembrance, & Repose

Interment

We offer in-ground interment options throughout our beautifully landscaped monument and memorial park sections. Starting with our founding in 1892, it remains our honor and privilege to provide and maintain a place of lasting remembrance for families in the South Shore community and beyond.

Entombment

Our community mausoleums, the Garden of Gethsemane and the Garden of Ascension, offer elegant above-ground crypt placement for the permanent memorialization of loved ones. Designed with timeless beauty and care, our crypts provide a sheltered and dignified resting place for generations to come.

Inurnment

We offer a variety of columbarium niches across our grounds for the placement and permanent memorialization of cremated remains. From the Garden of Ascension to our newest Woodland Terrace Columbarium Garden, we provide compassionate inurnment options to honor every life.

Planning Ahead

Ensure Peace of Mind by Planning Ahead

There is an array of significant decisions people need to consider as they ponder their own mortality and make plans for the future. Once resolved, many of those decisions ensure peace of mind for them, their families, and those they love. The eminently meaningful and often most challenging of those decisions revolve around end-of-life plans.

Arboretum

at Blue Hill Cemetery

We received Level One Arboretum Accreditation from The Morton Register of Arboreta and its global accrediting agency, ArbNet.org. Level One Accreditation requires an organization to identify, label, and maintain a collection of 25 species of trees and other woody plants while adhering to a plant care plan and fulfilling a purposeful mission. Our arboretum is comprised of 30 tree species.
